Biography
Dr. Tye obtained her PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of British Columbia, Canada in 2006, in the area of catalysis and chemical reaction engineering. MSc. in Chemical Engineering, 2002 and B.Eng (Hons.) in Chemical Engineering, 1999 from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She worked on a heavy oil upgrading project during her PhD and since she has been working on projects related to petroleum downstream processing.
Research Interest
-Catalysis in heavy/crude oil upgrading and treatment -Recycling of used petroleum derived oil -Upgrading of plant/vegetable oil. -Reaction & reactor modeling and simulation.
