Biography
Dr. Mahmoud Meribout has completed his PhD at the age of 22 years from University of Technology of Compiegne in January 1995. Between 1995 and 2000 He has been working with NTT and NEC Corporation where he has been involved in several research R&D projects related to embedded systems. In 1998, he won the Best R&D company award. Dr. Meribout is now working in the Petroleum Institute (Abu Dhabi, UAE) where he has been engaged in several oil and gas related research projects in the areas of Instrumentation and Control (e.g. Multiphase Flow Metering, Water-cut device, Emulsion Layer measurement device, and actuated process control). Dr. Meribout has several US patents, in addition to more than 100 referred journal and conference papers. Dr. Mahmoud is a Senior IEEE member and an SPE member.

Instrumentation and Control (e.g. Multiphase Flow Metering, Water-cut device, Emulsion Layer measurement device, and actuated process control),embedded systems.
