Biography
Associate Professor Dr. Sharul Sham Dol is currently the Head of Department for Petroleum Engineering, Curtin University Malaysia. Sharul received his PhD from University of Calgary where he worked on Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) investigation of pulsatile flow over a backward-facing step at the University of Calgary under the scholarship of Talisman Energy Inc., awarded to outstanding PhD candidate whose research focuses on the advancement of environmentally, socially and economically responsible provision of energy, challenges and opportunities faced by the oil and gas industry. He has done several industrial projects related to unsteady turbulent flows, aerodynamics effects on structures, alternative energy, flow assurance, and oil and gas pipeline hydrodynamics. Sharul’s professional qualifications include Chartered Energy Engineer from Energy Institute and Chartered Engineer from IMechE.
